Irvington Education Foundation: What We Do

The The Irvington Education Foundation (IEF) is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds from the community to award grants for programs and projects beyond the district’s budget.

The IEF provides opportunities to enhance curriculum by funding grant proposals from Irvington teachers, administrators and high school students.

The IEF is run by parent volunteers.

IEF Innovation Fund: Supporting Student Ideas

In 2014, the Irvington School District, in partnership with the Irvington Education Foundation and Sunnyside Federal Savings & Loan, launched the Innovation Fund, a unique grant designed to spur creativity and entrepreneurship among students.

The Innovation Fund provides an opportunity for high school students to receive funding for a program, enrichment experience, or community initiative to benefit their peers and the district.
